Puneeth Rajkumar, an Indian actor, playback singer, television presenter, and producer who works largely in Kannada film, was born on March 17, 1975. He has starred in 29 films and has been in numerous others as a child. Vasantha Geetha (1980), Bhagyavantha (1981), Chalisuva Modagalu (1982), Eradu Nakshatragalu (1983), Bhakta Prahaladha, Yarivanu, and Bettada Hoovu (1985) received critical acclaim for their performances. For his work as Ramu in Bettada Hoover, he earned the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. For Chalisuva Modagalu and Yeradu Nakshatragalu, he also received the Karnataka State Award for Best Child Artist. Appu, Puneeth's first starring role, was in 2002.
